Worksafe Traffic Control Industries is a women-owned business that was founded in 1993 by Lorena Laprade and Debra Ricker. We began manufacturing temporary construction signs in a small shop garage. Throughout the years, we have made it our goal and full intention to provide products focused on safety and effectiveness while producing those products in accordance with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTC). All of the signs we produce are certified and are heavily sourced throughout the Northeastern United States, more specifically in Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts. One of the most commonly used traffic control devices is signs. They are orange in color and are typically diamond-shaped, but some road work signs may be rectangular as well. All road work signs are very easily noticeable because they are usually reflectorized to attract your attention, especially at night time. This is a similar idea to the special safety vests that the construction workers wear on the job site so you can easily notice them too.
These traffic control signs are used to mark construction – in this case, where the road work ends. There would have been a “Road Work Ahead” sign at the start of the construction area. These signs help drivers and pedestrians as well as the workers safe throughout. It’s important to note that fines may double in work area zones. An “End Road Work” sign indicates that a driver or pedestrian is about to enter back into a normal zone and should follow any regular signs ahead moving forward.
